Indigenous Peoples Day should be a national holiday

Add your name and support the call for a national holiday on June 21:
Indigenous Peoples Day is an opportunity to honour the many contributions Indigenous Peoples have made to this land and reflect on the many challenges they still face today.
Inspired by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's call to create a statutory holiday, we want to bring a sense of hope to Indigenous communities in Canada by honouring residential schools survivors, their families and their communities.
A statutory holiday would offer a public opportunity to better understand and ensure Canadians recognize our common history, and the legacy of the Treaty relationships which remains a vital component of the reconciliation process.
