THE FRIENDLY BRIEF (from The FRIENDS newsletter - formerly Friends of Canadian Broadcasting)
MAY 31, 2023

June is National Indigenous History Month! To mark the occasion, we at FRIENDS would like to take this opportunity to shine a light on powerful Indigenous Canadian voices. Spanning across various artistic mediums and cultural milieus, the following stories, and storytellers, enlighten and inspire us in equal measure.

Every year, APTN’s Indigenous Day Live brings together Indigenous and non-Indigenous people to celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day and the summer solstice through cultural and musical performances. To find out more about this year’s edition, click here.

FRIENDS (formerly known as Friends of Canadian Broadcasting) is a people-powered movement that stands up for Canadian voices, in public broadcasting, news media and culture. FRIENDS is not funded by government money or donations from political parties or CRTC regulated entities.
