Join Allan Briesmaster, Terry Barker, Anna Yin, Greg Gatenby, Joe Fiorito, Norma West Linder, Kent Bowman, Mick Burrs, and others in this tribute to Raymond Souster.Souster, now 90, has lived in Toronto for much of his life and has been called Toronto's most loved poet. He is a founding member of the League of Canadian Poets and he was named an Officer of the Order of Canada in 1995.
"One of Canada's most important, widely-read and enduring poets, he has been a vital force for the renewal of poetry since the 1940s. His poems describe life in Toronto, ordinary people and the daily events, feelings and experiences of modern city living.
