First of all, give Morley my condolences for his Dad. I don't know if he can sing at the service, but songs and poems sure helped when my Dad passed.
Last night we had the Festalito here - invited 18 but got only 8, due to illness, vacations and rain. But 3 languages (English, Spanish, Portuguese). We had a visiting Cuban poet, Pierre Bernet and I did a short intro from the essays and read Pauline Johnson's "Cry from an Indian Wife." (I sent around all the essays, too.) No one had heard of her before. Here's some fuzzy fotos.
thinking of you all, hugs and skritches,

Congrats on organizing your second annual Montreal People's Poetry/CCLA Festalito! The 8th annual Purdy Country LitFest (PurdyFest) is about to swing into high gear. Wish you could be here - your campsite by the river's edge will miss you for another year - there's a solitary cardinal flower in bloom, I think it's natures tribute to you.
peace & poetry power!
