Walking in Rain - Anna Yin

Walking in Rain

A Facebook friend says
sometime when feeling sad or lonely,
it is easier to talk to a stranger.
I am talking to the heavy rain now,
my shadow dragging in the dim light.

At the conference, the star columnist
shares his tips about walking and writing -
with open eyes and a keen mind
everything around us might be treasure.

The newly arrived book sent by Norma and James,
"Two Paths Through the Seasons" makes me muse,
as a voice whispers,
one cannot go far or go out,
when one is mostly lost inside.

Dear Anna and Chris,

Thank you for the poem. Norma and I only received our copies from Israel on March 31st (8 days ago) and already Canadian poets are writing poems about and reviewing Two Paths Through The Seasons. Amazing!

Both Norma and I greatly enjoyed your poem, Anna. We will have to get together when Ron Dart makes his annual summer visit, if not sooner. I suppose we will all be at PurdyFest number 8.

“Walking in Rain” looks simply fab on Riffs & Ripples with the photograph. (Perhaps both poem and picture will end up on Coviews, too.)

Peace and Poetry Power!

. . . James  (and Norma and Rocky)
